Professional Development School

The purpose of the Professional Development School (PDS) Ad Hoc Committee is to provide a predictable stream of interesting and worthwhile topics and venues for continuing education presented in the format of a PDS.  The Committee will also provide advice, support, continuity, and assistance to the Academic and Administrative Dean(s) of each PDS to ensure successful and relatively stress-free outcomes.

The purpose of the PDS program is to provide professional development opportunities to members of the Society and provide continuing education credits toward recertification of certified health physicists.

This committee has been formed to support the transition of responsibility for PDSs from the Continuing Education Committee to a new PDS standing committee. In particular, the focus is on near-term PDSs, including ones associated with the Salt Lake City annual meeting and the following midyear meeting pending the establishment of a standing committee.
