Validation of the Accuracy of the LABSOCS (Laboratory Sourceless Calibration Software) Mathematical Efficiency Calibration Programs for GE Detectors in the Counting Laboratory

Authors

F. Bronson, R. Venkataraman

Abstract

Considerations are presented for designing and developing efficient information management systems for high-volume instrument calibration programs. These design criteria are illustrated with a description of an electronic information system developed and implemented for DOE's portable instrument calibration facility at the Savannah River Site (SRS) in Aiken, SC. The advantages, disadvantages, limitations, and problems encountered during the development and implementation of the SRS system are described.

Meeting

This abstract was presented at the 33rd Annual Midyear Meeting, "Instrumentation, Measurements, and Electronic Dosimetry", Abstracts Session, 1/30/2000 - 2/2/2000, held in Virginia Beach, VA.
