Health Physics Enrollments and Degrees Decreased in 1998

Health physics enrollments and degrees at U.S. academic institutions decreased at all levels in 1998, according to a May 1999 report by the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE). ORISE conducts this survey on a yearly basis. This year 49 programs at 47 institutions offering a major in health physics/radiation protection or radiation health were surveyed.
