Welcome to Our Blog

About this Blog

Welcome to the Health Care Personnel blog. We're going to examine in detail scientific publications that deal with radiation safety and our patients. We will also occasionally take a look at topics such as radiation risk, radiation statistics, etc., that will help clarify what we are reading in these journal articles.

Many of the blogs will be written by us. We are board-certified radiologists with a combined 45 years of experience. We are also both members of the Health Physics Society (the scientific group responsible for this site). Occasionally, we will include guest bloggers who are radiation specialists.

We have also contributed some of what we know about radiation safety and medicine in the other documents posted in this Health Care Personnel gateway. Take a look at these materials and feel free to use any of the information in your own presentations or in your conversations with patients. They are provided at no cost.

If you'd like to browse through questions that the Society has received from people around the world and the answers provided, visit our Ask the Experts Questions and Answers page. If you have a question about radiation that you would like to submit, you can do so at the Health Physics Society ATE page.

We will be blogging about once every month. If there is more in the news to talk about, it might be more frequent.
