Health Physics Society Public Information

Do you have questions about radiation, radioactive materials, or radiation safety?

The Health Physics Society is dedicated to providing information for you so that you can better understand these subjects.

To help you to better understand our field of health physics (radiation safety), we have developed a number of Fact Sheets and a List of Radiation Definitions.

In addition, you can "Ask the Experts" a question about the Society, radiation protection, or the field of health physics using the interactive features of this site. A large number of questions have already been answered. View them at the List of "Ask the Experts" Questions and Answers page.

We also sponsor another Web site that is dedicated to public education (www.radiationanswers.org). This site contains scientific and objective information about radiation in a friendly, easy-to-read format.
