Please comment on the safety of a pregnant person (with no complications) flying (domestic as well as international, United States to Europe) for professional reasons. Does the altitude affect the fetus and how?
A
Passengers flying commercial airlines should not be concerned about the effect of flying on the developing fetus for a pregnant passenger. All commercial airplanes are pressurized and therefore the high altitude at which commercial jet airlines fly is irrelevant since it would be like visiting Denver or Salt Lake City for a few hours.
