Is it likely that cellular phone usage could effect a change in a 400 Mhz NMR spectrometer's magnet if it has decent shielding (top-of-the-line shielding, ca. 1992)?

Some electronic equipment has been shown to be sensitive to radiofrequency interference from cell phones. I suggest you talk with the manufacturer of the spectrometer for information about it. Gary H. Zeman, ScD, CHP
