The following question was answered by an expert in the appropriate field:

Are there any side effects to an unborn child from a chest x ray of a pregnant woman (first two months)?

X rays of the chest result in minimal, if any, exposure to the unborn child because the x-ray beam is directed only at the chest region. Little, if any, radiation exposes the abdominal area. Health risks to the unborn child because of x-ray exposure in your case are minimal and should not be a cause of alarm or concern.
