I just paid cash for a small condo in north Seattle. A week later a crew came and installed a cell tower system. The antennas will be on the roof three floors above me. I am not worried about radiation emitted from there. The ground level part of the cell tower is in a parking garage about ten feet directly below me and the wires to the roof run along a wall 12 inches from where I live. My floor is cement and is 14 inches thick. The wall is wood stud. Now I am very sad that I bought the unit as I am apprehensive of damage to me and to my guests from either the assembly one floor below and/or from the eight or more inch-diameter wires that are running very near me to the roof. Are my fears justified?

The cables are shielded. The cell tower RF (radiofrequency) energy emits from its antenna, not from the cable. Sometimes, cables are made leaky for signal broadcasting purpose. This is not the case for feed cable to the cell phone tower. C-K. Chou, PhD
