I am a toxicologist by training and wanted to take a short course on air monitoring and/or personal monitoring of radionuclides including what equipment to purchase. I also wanted some additional training on calculated doses and comparison with acceptable short-term and long-term health guidelines. Do you have any suggestions?

A comprehensive four-day course on "Occupational and Environmental Radiation Protection" is offered at the Harvard School of Public Health. This course covers environmental monitoring, instrumentation, and risk assessment. Information on future such courses is available at 617-432-1171 or contedu@hsph.harvard.edu. You may also want to check the list of courses included in Health Physics News. Several are offered that may fit your needs.
